WORSHIP | WORD | WITNESS
For over 60 years Awana has partnered with parents and churches to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. The founders of Awana derived the Awana name from the first letters of “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15: “Be diligent to present yourself approved by God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Awana supports the Bible’s call for parents to lead in the spiritual development of their children by creating an opportunity for parents to get involved with their child’s discipleship during the week. The Awana curriculum works to instill five biblical character traits into the hearts of children. Clubs for older two-year-olds thru 6th grade develop a biblical foundation for faith based on respect for God, wisdom for His Word and grace in relationships. Middle school and high school clubs cultivate a sense of God’s destiny and perspective
recognize the learning ability of older 2 year-olds & younger 3 year-olds by introducing biblical precepts at church and equipping parents to teach them at home. Through teaching cards, activities, music and games, Puggles is an enriching program for your pre-Cubbies children.
celebrate the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word. Through story time, music, games & activities, Cubbies learn about the greatness of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior. Fun puppets and all their “Cubbies friends” will keep these Cubbies anxious for the next club meeting.
children, age’s kindergarten thru second grade, will love their bright red vests, exciting game time, and spending time learning about the people and events of the Bible building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Jesus Christ. Sparks is divided into three years, HangGlider, WingRunner, and SkyStormer, where clubbers explore Bible stories from scripture, memorize Bible verses and complete handbook activities. The Sparks three year curriculum takes your child on a journey thru the entire Bible!
answers a child’s questions about God and the Bible. Third thru sixth graders will grow in the grace of Jesus Christ thru handbook time, group lessons and of course game time! T&T is different in that it is actually comprised of two clubs each with a distinct curriculum, uniform, and awards. T&T Ultimate Adventure is for third & fourth graders, and T&T Ultimate Challenge is for clubbers in the fifth and sixth grades.
challenges middle school students to consider their destiny in Christ. This year Trek students will be looking at some of the most important questions people ask. Who made all this? What am I suppose to do? Who am I? Questions like this help shape and form your identity and help answer the question...Who am I? The story begins with God. This is "His Story".
